CEILIDH!!!!!

Hello everybody, and season's greetings to you all!

Please don't over-indulge too much over the next two weeks: You need to save some energy for the NMC Ceilidh! The Ceilidh is being organised for Friday the 19th February at the Chillingham Arms, Heaton. The intention will be to have tame ticket sellers at Burnside, Newcastle Climbing Centre and Climb Newcastle. Further details will be published once finalised.

we're keen to attend the Ceilidh in Feb, but we live in Brampton (near carlisle) so wont be anywhere near Burnside, Newcastle climbing centre or climb Newcastle in the next few weeks to get tickets.

Any suggestions on how to get some?

Yes - not a problem. Either book them / colelct them from me. I'm just outside Hexham - my number is in the handbook.

... and just as a heads up I think there might be a change in venue ... Chillingham has just got back to me a non-ideal response Should have it sorted by the end of the week.

Do we have the Chillingham Arms confirmed as a venue yet or has it changed last minute?

I intend to go to the ceilidh if its in the same area as the Chillingham, but have the same problems about getting the tickets. Can I pay on the door (2x)and when will you know about the Chillingham?

Hello again - you might have noticed the absence of this event in Ian's last mail <looks sheepish> ... bit of a change of date ...

We couldn't get the Chilingham on the 19th Feb - Next best date that avoids club winter meets is Saturday 20th March. I've got the venue and band sorted, just got to confirm food...

I'll sort some tickets out and then come and sell them to you as soon as it's all sorted

Time to put your dancing shoes on as it's the NMC Annual Ceilidh on Saturday

Once again you have the opportunity to leap about like a mad thing to some music in the
company of fellow club members and their guests. After a few false starts, the venue is the Chillingham in Heaton (NE6 5XN). Everything kicks off at 8pm, the beer is excellent and it's very short walk from the Chilingham Metro.

Tickets are just £10 each and include a sumptuous buffet. You can get tickets from me at Burnside on Wednesday or drop me a line on here/e-mail /phone
