Time to put your dancing shoes on as it's the NMC Annual Ceilidh on Saturday!

Once again you have the opportunity to leap about like a mad thing to some music in the company of fellow club members and their guests. After a few false starts, the venue is the Chillingham in Heaton (NE6 5XN). Everything kicks off at 8pm, the beer is excellent and it's very short walk from the Chilingham Metro.

This Friday 12th March sees the Climb Newcastle Winter Bouldering Series come to its climax with the 5th and final round.

If you haven't been to one of the centre's Winter Bouldering Series event yet there is still time to get involved and it's great fun whether you are a casual climber or serious competitor. You have until 9pm to try 35 super new black problems from easy to hard, get a score, enter an unbelievably generous raffle with hundreds of pounds of prizes, watch the drama unfold as the region's top climbers battle it out for the WBS 09/10 crown, and generally have an amazing time!

And what will all this cost you? Simply your normal entry fee. See you there.

On Wednesday 10th of March the centre is hosting a Scarpa Boot Demo between 6pm and 9pm, a great opportunity to try out the new Instinct range.

Andy Cave is one of the most renowned mountaineers in the world today. He draws on the exacting skills his passion demands to deliver inspirational motivational lectures. In 1997, Andy reached the summit of the notoriously difficult Himalayan Mountain, Changabang, by one of the most challenging routes ever recorded. What makes his story even more incredible is the realisation that this ascent began 15 years earlier, 3,000 feet underground.

Andy will take time out of his current UK ‘Learning To Breath’ sell-out tour to speak to the NMC. We are extremely lucky to persuade to come and present his show to us, and you are extremely lucky to get it for free!
