New Members Meet - 16-17th May 3 Months, 1 Week ago

The new members meet is coming up shortly. It will be on the 16-17th May in the Lakes at our Bowderstone hut.
Please note that there was a mix up with the dates in the handbook. The meet is definately on the 3rd weekend in May!
And there is hopefully a fair chance of good weather.
As always, this meet is for everyone and we need a good mix between new climbers and experienced lead climbers, so everybody is very welcome.
The plan is to head over on Friday night and climb on Sat and Sun with visits to the pub in between.
Not to mention that all newbies have to have a go at the table traverse.
If you want to come along and book a place at the hut please let me know, either on here or under 07896 305 855.
Please also indicate whether you have a car or need a lift, so we can sort out some car sharing.
Please let me also know whether you need any equipment for the trip.

Sarah, I'd like to book a place at the hut for the meet.
If anyone who has some 'flexibility' - meaning someone who is blessed with having done enough work for one lifetime, is able to go across early on the Friday to make it a longer weekend, let me know. I have transport and can offer lifts if needed.
However, I'm not much use at table traverses.

Hi Sarah,
I'd definitely want to book a place in the hut for he new members meet. For the purposes of lift sharing, I've got a car, live in Hexham and the earliest I can leave is about 16.30.

I can offer lifts (up to 3) or would be happy to blag one.
Would be leaving Newcastle after work on Friday or could meet people at Hexham.

Please note: At the working meet last weekend the barrels for the metal door keys where changed, if you have an old type metal door key rather than a electronic fob, they will not work!! You have been warned. If you are a full member and want a fob type key please let me know Neil Cranston I’m in the handbook.
