Fontainebleau in Oct half term (20-28th) 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago

I'm getting more and more excited about collecting my passport in October half term as I can get out of the country once again!
I've just recieved some Eurostars offers for £85 return for 3 nights accommodation in October to Paris. It isn't too bad.
Fontainebleau is located about 35miles SSE of centre of Paris. Not too far to travel on public transport I'd imagine. Famous for great sandstone bouldering.
Anybody fancies a short break there (3-4 days during that week or something)?
Cheers,
Kin.

Are you planning on just travelling down during the week or couple you stretch it over a weekend?

Yeah, I need to go to Manchester to pick up my passport Monday that week. So I can set off Tues or Wed that week for 4 or 5 days and back at the weekend or something.
Well, I heard on the radio a couple of weeks ago that Eurostar broke the speed record doing over 230 kph (130 mph?) from London all way to Belgium or something. So it shouldn't take more than 3 or 4 hours from London to Paris. Now, getting down to London could be slow!
If there is any overnight Eurostar, I'd get that so we can make a full day climbing rather than spend the day travelling. That way, we can take up the 3 nights offer in Paris for £85. Mind you. Flying may be cheaper. Besides, there isn't much gear to take, apart from bouldering mat, rock boots and chalk and guidebook.

It is quite sadly some people have a proper job. I'm glad I don't have a proper job so I get more climb time.

It doesn't look like I can go now as I suddenly have a job interview in the middle of the week. It's important to go as it offers loads more money than what I'm getting. It means I can afford more expensive trips in the future if I get the job. Yippe!
