Looking for climbing partner Sunderland or Newton Aycliffe wall 1 Year, 8 Months ago
Looking for a climbing partner in Newcastle area. Have own transport and happy to give lifts.

Would like to climb indoors during the week and up for outdoors on weekends. Have a few years experience but not climbed for few months. Not climbing hard grades and not done a lot of lead climbing but have done tonnes of lead belaying and looking to lead myself.

The group meets at Newburn on wednesday evenings including tomorrow, you are welcome to come along but for insurance reasons you will have to become a member, steve i am sure will reply to this post giving you more info. If you want to meet some other time i need to start climbing more often. I dont know whats happening this weekend but i was planning to go to Queens crag (Tom if you see this send me a PM to arrange something) to do some bouldering, if you are interested send me a PM or email me on me.jonny27[at]gmail.com

Anyone else fancy Queens Crag this weekend, dont think i will make Newburn tomorrow but may go to berghaus on thrusday

Jd

Where's Queens Crag? I haven't done tonnes of climbing in the North East, mostly round Bristol and indoors in London.

I don't have a rope or gear I'm afraid!

Queens Crag is over by Hadrians wall near Haydon Bridge, looks to be some great bouldering problems so no gear needed except some boots and a chalk bag

Map of queens crag is here

http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=379450&y=570650&z=5&sv=379450,570650&st=4&ax=379450&ay=570650

Site info and links to topos can be found here

http://www.northumberlandbouldering.co.uk/queens.htm

Ok, bouldering is really good fun and great training, could meet up on saturday or sunday at Sunderland if you want, dont have own transport so getting to Newton Ayecliffe would be difficult

There may be some other people from the NMC already meeting there so we will see, anybody up for it give me a ring mobile has changed temporarily to 07804040170

Sounds good for sunday at Sunderland. I have a car if you'd rather Aycliffe, I can give you a lift.

Am just feeling bit weedy for bouldering at the mo, once Ive had a few climbs again Eldon square would be good.
