Just thought I'd introduce myself. Im looking to join the NMC and will hopefully be attending some meets within the next few weeks after I've recovered from a knee operation. How often do people climb at sunderland wall?

Hi James, welcome. Hope the receovery goes well. People visit the local walls quite often, but on an ad hoc basis. Durham bouldering wall seems to be interesting a few people as well lately.

James. Give me a shout if you need a climbing partner. I climb popular places as well as esoteric. I do prefer Sunderland Wall for now. Only go there when it rains a lot outside. Otherwise, we try to climb outside as much as possible.

Welcome to the NMC forum!

As you will see from this website, we have outdoor meets every wednesday over the summer, and we climb at Burnside school in Wallsend in the winter time. In addition to that, members climb all over the place (including Sunderland wall), but that's usually arranged on an ad hoc basis.

When you have recovered from your injury, just turn up on the Wednesday, or post on this forum if you need/can offer a lift.

Also, don't get put off by what some of the boys get up to on some of the threads on this forum! Despite our differences the NMC is actually a very friendly club, and there's lots of nice people around.

So come along, bring friends and enjoy climbing!

Thanks everyone, I can allways offer lifts so I'll pop a message on here once my knee is back in shape. I wasn't even aware their was a wall at Burnside School, sure beats the PE facilities that I had when I was at school!
