Our members enjoy climbing from almost-beginner level to international competition standard. We have an active “meets diary” which includes Wednesday evenings throughout the year, indoor and out, weekend meets are also scheduled across the year.

The Bowderstone Hut

The current Bowderstone lease expires on the 24th of March 2013, after a vote at our recent AGM our members have decided not to renew the lease as The National Trust was still unable to offer a lease without unlimited liability which meant that the club could not renew the lease and still remain within the terms of the Constitution.

Hadrian Leisure Centre

The Hadrian Leisure Centre Climbing wall (formally known as Burnside School) is an excellent facility which is booked exclusively for our club on Wednesday nights over the winter period.

If you have basic climbing skills you can join as a prospective member for £15 and gain access to the wall on a Wednesday for £5 a session. There is then an opportunity to go on to a full membership.
